The New York City Global Legacy Ball

From Harlem to the Village to Brooklyn...

and to the Global World at large, the legacy of New York City’s Ballroom Community has inspired countless generations of young and old people from Chicago to San Francisco to Paris to Tokyo to Rio and beyond to learn, compete and be part of this Black and Latinx LGBTQ community of dancers, performers and artists who compete in fashion and artistic performance categories for trophies and prizes. In celebration of this great legacy…

Sydney presented The New York City Legacy Ball, which was held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Brooklyn Museum.

As the Brooklyn Museum kicked off Pride Month and celebrated Black and POC LGBTQ/Queer History as part of their Target First Saturday Event "Queer Continuums," Sydney hosted a ball to celebrate the great legacy of New York City’s Ballroom Community that started it all.
